Mid-Afternoon NFL News & Notes

-Favre tells ESPN prior to MNF he may have a broken rib
-Tom Brady (shoulder) was present for the start of Patriots practice Monday.
-Chansi Stuckey earns #2 WR spot for the Jets
-Steve Breaston returns to Cardinals practice
-T.O. returns to the field and blames injury on a poor choice of footwear
-No update on severity of Matt Cassel's injury
- Pierre Thomas (MCL sprain) is considered questionable for Thursday's preseason finale against the Dolphins.
-Antonio Bryant (meniscus surgery) returned to practice Monday after missing first 3 preseason games
-Kenny Moore to pass Dwayne Jarrett for #3 WR job in Carolina?

UPDATE-Some more tidbits
-Anquan Boldin (hamstring) didn't practice Monday, but went through a "rigorous" workout off to the side of the workout according to the Arizona Republic
-Jonathan Stewart misses Panthers practice for personal reasons
-Cardinals receiver Early Doucet is out indefinitely after fracturing his ribs in Arizona's third preseason game.
