NFL


-Frank Gore undergoes MRI late Monday night
-James Jones suffers sprained finger during Packers win Sunday
-Matt Hasselbeck doubtful for Week 4
-A league source tells Profootballtalk.com that the Lions consider Kevin Smith's (shoulder) status "week to week."  Maurice Morris will be a popular waiver wire add this week.
-Mark Bulger doubtful for Week 4.  Kyle Boller, who threw 2 TD for Rams, would start
-Dick Jauron promises to get T.O. the ball more
-Felix Jones starts for Barber on MNF
-Chaz Schillens questionable for Raiders Sunday
-David Clowney benched Sunday because of Twittering he was unhappy with role

MLB
-Beckett scratched from Monday start (back) may not pitch again until postseason.  Lester cleared to start Tuesday
-Josh Johnson to start Tuesday against the Braves
-Cody Ross is out of Monday's lineup due to a left wrist contusion he sustained Saturday.
-Branyan unlikely to return for the rest of the season

NBA
-Blake Griffin to start season on the bench behind Camby and Kaman
-Frye to start at center over Robin Lopez as of today
-Richard Jefferson (dislocated thumb) has been cleared to fully participate in the Spurs training camp.
-Elton Brand says that his shoulder and leg feel great heading into training camp.
