NFL Star and Sit-Week 1

Start
-All Saints: Drew Brees, Marques Colston, Lance Moore, Reggie Bush, Jeremy Shockey and either Pierre Thomas or Mike Bell should all be active against the Lions.

-Joe Flacco, QB, Ravens-Need a QB if you own Matt Cassel or your starter is facing a tough matchup?  Go grab Flacco who faces a mediocre KC defense and he should have plenty of ability to stretch the field.  2 TD's likely for the Delaware alum.

-Matt Hasselbeck, QB, Seahawks-Another QB that should make a solid opening week statement is Hasselbeck, who returns from injury with the Rams on the schedule for week one.  With the running game sputtering, Seattle will rely on his right arm to get the points on the board.

-Cincinnati Defense-Yes the Bengals.  Kyle Orton is still battling an injury to his finger, Knowshon Moreno is still not 100%, Brandon Marshall is a head case and the offense can not be on the same page.  The Bengals defense came on strong at the end of 2008 and by adding some playmakers will be even better this year.  If your defense gets matched up with a high power offense in week one, this may be a solid play.

-DeSean Jackson, WR, Eagles-With Brian Westbrook's touches being limited and Jackson's announcing he will be returning punts, the opportunity is there for Jackson to have an enormous opener.  This game may turn into a shootout if the Panthers ground game gets going, so watch Jackson score one through the air and possibly break one on special teams.

-Percy Harvin, WR, Vikings-Not only do the Vikes get the lowly Browns in Week 1, with Brett Favre still elarning the offense, when not handing the ball to AP, the Vikings will likely try to get the ball into the rookies hands as much as possible.  The coaching staff has stated as such, so watch the teams 2nd best playmaker make some huge plays.

Bench
-Joseph Addai, RB, Colts-Who knows what to think about Addai in 2009.  Not only is he in a potential timeshare with Donald Brown, the Colts face a tough Jags rush D that can sure bottle up the ground game.  Take a week and see how the rushing game unfolds for Indy before playing Addai with confidence.

-Jonathan Stewart, RB, Panthers-Another RB to avoid in Week 1 as well is Stewart, who not only is battling injury but also must battle DeAngelo Williams for touches.  They may take it easy with Jon in Week 1, save for when completely healthy.

-Bears Defense-This year we may see the rebirth of the great Bears defense..maybe not in Week 1 as they take on the red hot Packers offense that is led by Aaron Rodgers.  Take a flier this week on another defense, but make sure to have them in the lineup on a less formidable foe.

-Any and All Bucs RB-Whether you own Cadillac Williams, Derrick Ward or Earnest Graham, they all should be benched in week one.  We have no idea how it is going to unfold with who gets carries and whether or not they can even move the ball with Byron Leftwich at QB, so stay away and find a safer option in week one.

-Larry Johnson, RB, Chiefs-Not only are the Chiefs miserable on offense, going up against a stacked Ravens defense that should build a lead against them will result in the Chiefs having to air it out.  LJ is not the best pass catcher either, so make him prove to you that he should be played.
