Richard Seymour Traded to Raiders for 1st round pick in 2011

The Raiders acquired Richard Seymour from the Patriots according to ESPN'sAdam Schefter.  Seymour is a free agent at the end of the year and the Patriots would not have overpaid a player that is injury prone, especially when they need to resign Vince Wilfork as well.  New England also drafted two young, promising linemen, so in exchange for the Pro Bowler, they receive a 1st round pick (and with he Raiders that may be a high 1), in the first year with a possible rookie salary scale.

Fantasy Analysis:  Do not think the Pats D is suffering because of this deal.  They would not have made the deal if they did not believe in their young core on the line, not when they have Super Bowl aspirations.  The Raiders defense, especially against the run gets much better, as long as Seymour can stay healthy.
