NCAA Beat the Book
Saturday Selections

Virginia Tech -17 @ Duke
Va Tech ravaged Miami in the slop last weekend, so taking on a Duke team that does not have those kind of weapons, expect the Hokies to pound the ground game, shut down anything Duke does on the offensive end and win by 25+

FSU -4 @ BC
Which FSU team will show up?  The team that struggled vs Jacksonville or the team that blew out BYU?  BC has been inconsistent so far in 2009, so expect the better talent to win out here. FSU by 8

Georgia -3 vs. LSU
Yes LSU is undefeated, but after close wins at Washington and Miss State, they head to their toughest game to date at Georgia.  The Dawgs are on fire and their offense looks unstoppable.  Joe Cox has developed and with the Tigers ground game non-existent, the Dawgs are gonna take it.

Kent State +21 @ Baylor
Baylor will be without Robert Griffin and although Kent cannot match their talent, 21 is a lot of points for a Baylor team to cover who will be playing with their 3rd string QB

Miami +7 vs. Oklahoma
Miami would not have lost last week at Va Tech if it was dry.  They did not play to their element and got blitzed.  They were about to make it a 1 score game when their TE dropped a 1st down inside the 20.  That game changes if that catch is made.  Oklahoma will be without Bradford and they have not played a defense and talent as deep as Miami.  Miami wins outright.

  1. Fan of the blog...found it through Dyas and fantasy suicide. I've got one myself but it's more centered on DC area sports. Feel free to check it out: http://cannonballcoming.blogspot.com/

    Keep it up.
