5 Players to Avoid on Draft Day

Michael Crabtree, WR, 49ers
Unless you are in a keeper league where you can stash him for the year, Crabtree appears to be content on entering the year as a holdout.  What makes matters worse is that his Head Coach Mike Singletary is a hard nosed, no nonsense kind of guy who will not just insert him into the lineup cause he shows up.  Take Crabtree late as a flier, but not early like many pundits predicted.

Santana Moss, WR, Redskins
Year after year Moss puts up solid stretches, falls off the wagon, gets back up and ends up with solid season numbers.  Not this year.  This is the year the shaky QB play from Jason Campbell and health catches up with him.  Stay away.

Trent Edwards, QB, Bills
Yes the Bills signed T.O.  Yes they now have 2 solid receiving weapons.  So what?  Edwards will be without Marshawn Lynch for the first few weeks, will still line up against solid defenses in NE, NY and MIA 6 times in 2009 and last time we checked, Edwards is just not that good.  Many call him a sleeper.  I say, sleep on him.
Laverneus Coles, WR, Bengals
The Bengals signed Coles to replace Houshmandzadeh at receiver, yet as we have seen early this preseason, Chris Henry appears to be the guy benefitting the most from T.J.'s departure.  Coles is an old 31 and coming off a down year in NY, do not expect miracles from this hard nosed possession receiver.

Willis McGahee, RB, Ravens
In Monday's preseason game against the Jets Ray Rice got the start, got goal line carries, and Willis was nowhere to be seen.  He has been clearly passed on the depth chart.  Let someone else bite on the name recognition McGahee provides.

Who are your guys to stay away from?
